I want to take a moment to send you my most sincere wish for a very restful and peaceful holiday. May this very special and beautiful season of hope bring together all who weave the themes of technology and gerontology for the benefit of the world’s aging citizens. Together we are having an impact that is being felt worldwide.
I recently returned from a great trip to Korea to take part in the International Gerontechnology Expo & Forum 2017 held at the Korea International Exhibition and Convention Center (www.kintex.com), on November 9-11 2017. The event constituted the preamble to the formal establishment of a Korean Chapter of the International Society for Gerontechnology.
Asia’s unique demographic challenges are driving an intense interest in Gerontechnology, as the prospect of insufficient numbers of care workers for its elderly populations looms ever larger. We welcome the foresight of the Korean people in looking to emerging Gerontechnologies as a solution to this growing challenge. |
